Abundance Network endorses Scott Wiener for Congress in California’s 11th District.
Scott Wiener has demonstrated a deep commitment to Abundance principles throughout his career, first as a San Francisco Supervisor and now as a California State Senator.
On housing, Senator Wiener is the leading pro-housing voice in the California legislature. He authored CA SB 35, which enabled the construction of over 18,000 new affordable homes statewide, and has passed dozens of additional bills to make it faster, cheaper, and easier to build. His work has also helped shift state politics toward pro-housing solutions.
On transit, Senator Wiener authored the Connect Bay Area Act, which puts a regional funding measure on the November 2026 ballot. If passed, it will fully fund Bay Area transit systems and prevent cuts that would close dozens of train stations, eliminate 50% of bus lines, and raise fares significantly.
Throughout his career, Senator Wiener has proven he can work across differences to deliver tangible outcomes for his constituents. He is the outcomes-focused leader the Abundance movement needs in Congress.
